Get starry-eyed and celebrate with a Monroe
To celebrate the launch of its latest display home, Celebration Homes is giving homebuyers the chance to win $5000 towards the pre-start selections for a new home from its display collection of designs.
The new display, the Monroe, is being launched today at 11am at the Brookleigh Estate in Caversham with an event featuring exclusive house and land offers, free home-loan health checks and a bouncy castle. Homebuyers who visit this or any other Celebration display from now until March 31 will be eligible to enter the competition.
Other builders in this market segment seem to be cutting down on the size of homes to keep prices down but Celebration has taken the opposite tack with the Monroe. The home lives up to its star-studded name with a voluptuous main bedroom and a spacious Hollywood-style living area.
The 7.8m x 3.6m space in the alfresco area will cater for the biggest party. It is so spacious Celebration Homes offers, at no extra cost, to construct a games room in this space and still leave enough room for an alfresco dining area.
In the family bedroom wing two bedrooms sit either side of an activity area which opens on to the main living area. A bathroom is next to the two bedrooms. The laundry is also in this wing and has a vast walk-in linen cupboard and separate toilet. A third room, if not needed as a bedroom, could easily be constructed to open up into the living area and function as a activity room or a study.
The open-plan living area is extremely generous and can easily cater for the activities of any family. The centrepiece of the family living area is the kitchen which is convenient to indoor dining and to the alfresco area through sliding doors.
The kitchen is well appointed with all benchtops in Caesarstone. An island bench doubles as a breakfast bar and houses the double sink. Cabinets and drawers are all soft-closing and the cooking centrepiece is a 900mm oven and a five-burner gas hob with stainless-steel range hood.
The splashback is tiled and there are small windows either side of the range hood to throw in extra light. A huge walk-in pantry with its own window could be used as a butler’s pantry or scullery.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a nook with a door opening to the garage and space for shelves and a cabinet.
The main bedroom opens off the entry via double doors and has a massive walk-in robe and a parents’ retreat set into a bay window. The ensuite has twin above-counter vanities, a double-width shower that would cater for two shower sets, and a separate toilet.
Also off the main entry hall, opposite the main bedroom, is the home theatre room.
The front of the home has a small veranda and the facade has a rendered finish and a cedar-style gable finished with a finial.
